Wishing all our backers a Merry Christmas and hoping you're having a break, spending time with family and friends just as we intend to. 2016 has been full on, with ups and downs, but for us, it has ended on a high. Reading your positive comments makes all the hard work worthwhile. Thanks for your support and we hope we can continue to provide beautiful and engaging items to you in the future.

Dispatch

As mentioned in our previous updates, we have now closed dispatch for 2016. If you met the backerkit survey deadline but haven't received an email from Auspost with tracking info, pls check your junk box... failing that, send us an email.

We'll be back January 16th to get the remaining rewards out...

We are really excited and proud to share another product with you so a big thank you for your support on the campaign. We're sure you'll love Sanctuary M and bet you can't wait to receive yours.

So here's what happens now.

BACKER KIT SURVEY

As mentioned in the campaign, within the next couple of days you will receive an email with a link to BackerKit which will conduct our survey to finalise your rewards. It is important to respond to this survey ASAP so we can fulfil your rewards. This is where you will be selecting base materials and inserts for your rewards, plus add on other Botanica products and take advantage of combined shipping rates. 

You don't have to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go! BackerKit is a 3rd party service which provides a more powerful survey feature than what Kickstarter provides. BackerKit will allow you to:

• Select add-ons such as extra Sanctuaries (both S and M), extra glass tops, inserts and other accessories.
• Upgrade your base to Carrara, Nero Marquina, American Walnut and European Oak.
• Fix your pledge if it failed on Kickstarter
• Answer a couple of questions to help us with our next endeavours.
• Specify your delivery details

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN SPECIFYING YOUR SANCTUARY

RAINFOREST

• Rainforest is designed for moss, using the moss insert. 
• But if you plan to experiment with both plants and moss, choose the plant insert with more room for soil.
• If you plan to enable drainage (plant insert only), please select a base in Concrete, Carrara or Nero Marquina.

TEMPERATE

• Designed for small plants using the plant insert. 
• If you plan to use moss with Temperate, it will require regular misting to remain hydrated.
• If you plan to enable drainage, please select a base in Concrete, Carrara or Nero Marquina.

ARID

• Only the plant insert will be made available with Arid as moss will not survive without the top. Arid is for plants that prefer a non humid environment (succulents and cacti). 
• If you plan to enable drainage, please select a base in Concrete, Carrara or Nero Marquina.

HOLIDAY DEADLINE

To receive your Sanctuary M before Christmas we will need to have your survey complete within 7 days from when the survey has been emailed to you. We'll advise via another update for when we email the surveys out so you can watch for it.

If you use your Facebook profile to login to Kickstarter, note that the email linked to Facebook will be automatically be used for communication. It is important to use an email that is checked regularly.

MISSED THE CUTOFF?

You will still receive your Sanctuary M but it may not be dispatched in time for Christmas so if this is an issue please get back to us as soon as possible. If we can't dispatch due to a missing survey, we will send you a reminder and if it's still late we won't be able to dispatch until late January.

And for the fine print.. We'll try and be quick but this stuff is really important.

YOUR ADDRESS

Please take the time to ensure you provide a postal address that is attended during business hours (i.e. work). If your reward is RTS (return to sender) there will be a fee to repost it. We apologise but we cannot cover costs to resend due to an incorrectly entered address.

Please ensure your address has your suburb that relates to your postcode and not the greater city of your area. This has been the most common issue to cause delays in the past. 

TRACKING

We instruct deliveries to be made upon signature only- recommended by our postal service to avoid parcels being stolen. If you are not at the specified address at the time of delivery you will be left a note to collect from your closest postal office and tracking status will say 'attempted delivery'. In most cases you have minimum of a week to collect.

To avoid this happening please consider giving us an address that is always attended during business hours such as a work address. PO Addresses are not valid sorry. Contact us if this is an issue.

DUTIES AND TAXES

Some countries will charge backers import duties and taxes...sorry we have no control over this :(  and these are payable by you the Backer. Although we are not responsible for any import duties or customs charges we actually get charged if they aren't paid and the item is sent back (at our cost x 2). Again, if your reward is RTS (return to sender) there will be a fee to repost it back to you again. It isn't possible for us to absorb these fees.

DELAYS

Hopefully not but here are some reasons for potential delays:

• Your country's customs processing time.
• You have entered your address incorrectly
• Address was unattended at delivery
• Your item was stolen after it left Australia 

We will keep communication open to discuss these issues but cannot offer replacement if the above occurs.

• Base and insert selection 
• 3 questions to help us improve
• Choose Add Ons
• Address entry / Payment if upgrades are made

Technology: Sanctuary M Inserts

With our campaign ending in a week we thought we should start filling you in on some of features you will be choosing from at the end of the campaign. Starting with the insert.

The Sanctuary M Inserts in silicon serve a few very important functions. 

They protect the base material from being exposed to water and soil, preventing discolouration and they create a snug fit between the lid and base, protecting the glass.

They are available in 2 types. Moss and Plant.

MOSS INSERT

...
• A raised platform to neatly present your moss
• The serrated edge holds the moss in place
• Once moss is placed you can rub your finger over the serration to neatly break off excess moss.
• The reservoir collects excess water to stop moss rotting. You may also fill this reservoir with some activated charcoal to help with purification of the environment. 
• As the insert is silicon, it can be easily washed and dried.

PLANT

After the release of Sanctuary S, feedback was that people wanted to experiment with other plant species with their moss. 

• The plant insert allows more room for soil so the above can be achieved.
• In addition to more room, if you select the MARBLE or CONCRETE bases you can also pierce the insert to allow excess water to drain (as these materials will handle the water).
• As the insert is silicon, it can be easily washed and dried.

CREATE

Create your mossarium or terrarium in the insert first! Once complete, pop it in the base and add the top. This keeps the base and top super clean while you fine tune your masterpiece.

Your pledge includes one insert but if you can't decide between Moss or Plant inserts you can buy an additional one for AU$11.00.
